For 16 years, Esther has been capturing the beauty of people and the world around her through photography. Since she can remember, she's felt an innate need to capture nostalgia in real-time. Primarily shooting on film, she uses photography to slow down and capture the strange, the beautiful, and things almost missed. Through her lens, she finds refuge and a profound connection with stories of the world and people around her.

Dissimilar to her methodology in experimental filmmaking, Esther approaches photography as a medium to capture genuine moments of existence, unaltered by direction or interference. Her approach is spontaneous and in the moment, with shots that are rarely prepared. Instead, these moments are stumbled upon or emerge naturally through play and conversation. Her unique ability to make people feel at ease in front of the camera allows her to authentically capture human connections and expressions.
